Spicy shrimp pasta

A basic and very healthy dish with some bite, but not overwhelming spice.
Ingredients
- 4 ounces dry spaghetti
- 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoons dried oregano
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
- 1 14-ounce can crushed tomatoes
- 1 pounds raw shrimp, peeled and deveined

Instructions:
Boil pasta in water until tender. In a skillet, combine all ingredients except tomatoes. When shrimp are nearly done, add tomatoes and cook for 5 more minutes. Add pasta and toss to coat.
Tip: this is great served with some simple garlic toast (toast with butter and garlic salt). |
